What we collect

• Quiz answers: your responses to the 10-question assessment (lifestyle, style, activity, budget, complications, material, colour, size, exclusivity, brand preference).
• Email address: collected when you unlock your recommendations or subscribe to a specific watch's price-drop alerts.
• Derived preferences: the top category and top recommended watch produced by our scoring engine, used to personalise future emails.
• Usage data: basic technical information (IP address, browser, device type, referrer) collected through standard server logs and analytics.

How we use it

• To produce personalised watch recommendations for you.
• To send you price-drop alerts on watches you save and a curated newsletter.
• To improve the matching engine and the product.
• To detect abuse and maintain the service.

Who we share it with

We use the following service providers to deliver WatchDeals:

• Beehiiv — email delivery and list management. Your email and quiz preferences are stored as subscriber attributes.
• Render — hosting of the application.
• Analytics providers (where enabled) to understand aggregate traffic.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with affiliate retailers only when you click an affiliate link and complete a purchase on their site — in that case the retailer records the referral for commission purposes in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your session, measure traffic, and (when you click an affiliate link) attribute your purchase to WatchDeals. You can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may stop working.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from any email at any time using the unsubscribe link in the footer. You can also email us at hello@watchdeals.co to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. We respond within 30 days.

Data retention

We retain your subscriber profile for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we retain a minimal record of your email to honour your opt-out request but remove active profile data.

Children

WatchDeals is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter and on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
